Regnery Publishing, the leading book publisher in conservative current events titles, is seeking a self-motivated and highly organized Editorial intern.The ideal candidate is eager to step in and help with any task or assignment, no matter how big or small, and is detail-oriented with superior written and verbal communication skills.The intern will be assisting Regnery's editorial department in editing and developing manuscripts of books published by Regnery-many of them by national bestselling authors well-known in the conservative movement-as well as assisting with other department-wide projects and assignments.Duties of the editorial intern will include:Functioning as a second copy editor for manuscripts and possibly a primary copy editor on someTaking charge of formatting, copy editing, and checking layout for new editions of rekeyed Regnery booksIndexingFact-checking manuscriptsAssisting with administrative support tasks for the editorial departmentQualifications:Superior attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong interpersonal skillsPrevious proofing/editing experience a plus but not necessaryFamiliarity with Chicago Manual of Style a plus but not necessaryMust pass Regnery's editorial skills testIntern must be familiar with Microsoft WordSalem Media Group is an equal opportunity employer
