Position Description

Job Description
- Provide support to customer site at Ft. Bragg, NC, with occasional OCONUS travel up to 6 months a year. - Perform security event monitoring, intrusion detection, and intrusion prevention for systems on the JWICS, SIPRnet, and NIPRnet networks. - Monitor and identify critical updates that need to be performed on these networks. - Install latest security patches and configure security settings on Microsoft Windows, Exchange, and SQL Server systems as required. - Monitor network performance and perform load balancing and resource allocation of production systems as required. - Perform troubleshooting on systems and networks. - Document system monitoring and administration standard operating procedures (SOPs). REQUIREMENTS: - A DOD Top Secret Security Clearance with DCID 6/4 eligibility - Ability to pass government psychological assessment - Ability to pass a physical assessment - Minimum 6-8 years experience as a Systems / Network Administrator maintaining, monitoring, troubleshooting, load balancing, and configuring Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2007 systems on NIPRnet, SIPRnet, and/or JWICS networks - Strong experience with utilizing Information Assurance (IA) monitoring tools (e.g., WhatsUp Gold, Sniffer, Ethereal, Dameware, SolarWinds, Protector Series, ObjectFinder, etc.) - Ability to interact effectively with customers, supervisors, and/or functional peer groups and operate productively in a team environment. DESIRED BACKGROUND / SKILLS: - Military background and experience with Special Operations and prior OCONUS deployment - DoD 8570 Certifications (e.g., A+, Security+, Network+, CISSP, CNDA, etc.) - Strong experience with ensuring networks and systems achieve Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA) compliance - Experience with system/network administration and load balancing in large, clustered Microsoft server environments. - Experience with maintaining, monitoring, troubleshooting, load balancing, and configuring Microsoft Exchange Server 2003/2007 and SQL Server 2005 systems - Experience with SAN/NAS attached systems - VMWARE Experience - Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS), Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) [or Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) / System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)], and Terminal Server experience - Veritas Storage Foundation experience - B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Information System, Mathematics, or IT related field Fulcrum IT Services is an information technology (IT) company based in Manassas, Virginia, that provides IT solutions and services for federal, state, local, and commercial customers.
