Position Description

Position Purpose:
The Sr. Recruiter (Corporate Functions and Executives) supports RBC Recruitment’s World Class recruitment organization by serving as a seasoned consultant and advisor to senior leadership and hiring managers. Manages the recruitment process from inception to on-boarding. Sources/attracts/screens/assesses mid to senior and executive level talent and manages complex roles. Makes recommendations to managers on best fit. Develops a solid understanding of assigned platform/business/segment and develops strong relationships with managers, HR partners and other internal groups. Extends employment offers and provides meaningful feedback to candidates.

Key Accountabilities:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Pre-recruitment consultation and planning
- Leads intake session with Business Leader/ Hiring Manager to gain a deep and insightful level of knowledge about the position, the life cycle of the department, team dynamics and future career path
- Conducts a highly thorough needs analysis discussion with manager and involves the appropriate HR Business Partner when necessary
- Partners with manager to develop overall external recruitment and/or internal staffing strategy
- Provides a process overview and establishes mutual roles & accountabilities
- Outlines a timetable for the recruitment implementation plan

Execution of recruitment plan
- Utilizes the most effective and cost effective sourcing options (i.e. Cold Calling, Linked -In, Industry specific databases, etc) Is highly knowledgeable of the talent pools externally and internally, accessed through talent reviews, succession plans, leadership development programs and diversity initiatives
- Guides manager adeptly through entire process up to and including on-boarding
- Partners with manager on selection to ensure finalists are highest quality
- Uses technology to speed and improve process at all stages

Process administration
- Conducts required administrative task such as a) drafting position descriptions and candidate profiles/summaries, b) coordinating travel; scheduling; screening; assessing candidates; extending offers , and candidate on-boarding
- Tracks recruitment process through ATS system and increases efficiency
- Maintains and reports data on individual recruitment and sourcing activity
- Maintains process integrity relative to OFCCP compliance guidelines.

Diversity and Retention champion
- Understands the diversity composition of the hiring business line. Builds and implements targeted sourcing strategies to identify and attract diverse talent pools for mid to senior and executive level positions (including but not limited to Regional Presidents, Regional Vice Presidents, Directors, and various other Corporate Function Vice Presidents)
- Supports and leverages RBC’s Retention Services Program

Networking
- Network both externally and internally to a) develop active and passive candidate pipelines for key positions and sometimes confidential searches b) gather industry and competitor market intelligence

Search Firm Vendor Management
-Point of contact for and liaison between Hiring Managers and External Recruitment Vendor Relationships to minimize vendor expense and maximize quality of process.

Job Requirements: (Knowledge/ Experience):
- At least 5 years of proactive recruitment experience in a Federal Contractor environment. Bank/Financial Services recruitment experience is preferred.
- Experience and proficiency using recruitment/HR, and office technology: applicant tracking systems, HRIS, MS Office, etc.
- Demonstrated effective and influential leadership skills.
- Expertise on compliance with OFCCP and EEOC.
- BA or BS is preferred
