Essential Job Duties |
The primary purpose of this role includes but is not limited to: The Fire Safety Technician is a professional responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems to ensure their proper functioning and compliance with safety regulations. Their duties typically include inspecting and testing fire alarm systems, troubleshooting issues, replacing faulty components, and documenting all work performed in accordance with relevant standards and codes. Fire Safety Technicians may also be involved in conducting periodic inspections and providing recommendations for system upgrades or enhancements to improve overall safety and performance. Additionally, they often collaborate with other professionals such as electricians, building engineers, and fire safety inspectors to coordinate installation projects and ensure compliance with building codes and regulations. Effective communication skills and attention to detail are essential in this role to accurately diagnose problems, communicate findings to clients or team members, and ensure that fire alarm systems operate reliably to protect lives and property in the event of an emergency. |
