Manages the daily operations of the Facilities Management Department and provides technical engineering consultative services to the Director of Facilities Management. Assures the maintenance, repair, and uninterrupted operation of the building and critical utilities. Assures the building and equipment complies with local, state, and federal regulations. |
Supervises Facilities Management personnel and provides all required administrative functions for those personnel, to include: performance appraisals, discipline, orientation and training, and required education. -------------------------------------------------- Manages the department's corrective maintenance and preventive maintenance programs. Monitors the backlog of corrective maintenance requests and preventive maintenance inspections. -------------------------------------------------- Assigns work to contractors, administers contracts and monitors contractor's progress and performance to assure quality of work and timely completion within contracted cost. -------------------------------------------------- Provides assistance to other departments, as requested. Develops scope of projects and determines technical feasibility. Provides cost estimates. -------------------------------------------------- Assists with development and maintenance of operating and capital budgets for the department. -------------------------------------------------- Updates drawings to indicate building renovation changes and assures building or equipment field modifications are properly labeled, tagged or otherwise identified. -------------------------------------------------- Maintains technical manuals, drawings, records, procedures and files for plant equipment. Has a working knowledge of plant equipment. -------------------------------------------------- Coordinates renovations, equipment or building repairs, equipment shutdowns and special projects with other managers throughout the facility, as needed. -------------------------------------------------- |
