Based in the southeast, we are a premiere design-build mechanical contractor that serves the industrial, life sciences, advanced manufacturing and mission critical markets.

SUMMARY

The Helper position is a critical role for the company. This individual will be responsible for assisting the Sheet Metal Mechanic with positioning, aligning, and fitting together construction components to complete the installation of systems and work assigned in a timely and quality fashion. This individual will be traveling to jobsites up to but not limited to 400 miles away from Clemmons, NC. Per Diem is available.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following. Other duties will likely be assigned.

  • Positions and turns clamps; screws, bolts, and hammers parts together; use tools and equipment properly and only if certified (as required).
  • Transports and furnishes mechanic with materials, tools, and supplies.
  • Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment; ensures that tools, equipment, and materials are stored properly and securely.
  • Accurately and consistently complete regular tasks performed as a Sheet Metal Helper.
  • Complies with company policies and procedures, especially safety rules.

PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
  • Sheetmetal experience preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of the construction industry and documentation.
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and city regulations and guidelines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to commute to field locations. The employee must have the ability to navigate around job site locations.
