DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides oversight of the Clinicians, responsible for team building, coaching, staff appraisals, and performance measures
  • Ensures that all contract policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Conducts and documents mental health assessments directly or via tele-psych software for children in care as well as provide ongoing individual and group counseling in accordance with contract policies and procedures.
  • Ensures all mental health assessments and screenings are completed according to contract policy
  • Ensures quality care for all children and timely response to their needs, including crisis intervention
  • Works with other Department Leads
  • Screen for human trafficking concerns
  • Coordinates caseloads with assigned case managers and lead case managers
  • Provides reports needed for management
  • Attends and participates in all required meetings internal and external
  • Maintain the UAC case file and UAC portal in accordance with contract policies and procedures.
  • Reports significant incident in accordance with contract policies and procedures
  • Follows up on all Significant Incident Reports (SIRs) in accordance with contract policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for reviewing and approving timesheets and time off requests
  • Other duties as assigned

OTHER DUTIES:

  • Performs duties in a safe manner.
  • Follows the corporate safety policy
  • Participates in and supports all safety meetings, trainings and goals.
  • Ensures the safety and security of all UAC and safe operating conditions within area of responsibility
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work area
  • Flexible and willing to travel as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English (Read, Write and Speak)
  • Master's degree in social work (MSW), psychology, sociology or other relevant behavioral science in which clinical experience is a program requirement; have clinical experience as a part of the master's program requirements
  • 1 year of practicum or internship experience
  • 6 months of supervisory experience
  • Active, valid and unrestricted licensed in state of service
  • Excellent presentation skills as well as oral and written communication skills required.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel
  • Proficiency with computer, common office equipment, and MS Office products required.
  • Clean criminal background check and drug screen
  • Clean Child Abuse and Neglect (CA/N) or child protective services check
  • Ability to work overtime and be on call as needed or as requested by Program Administration
  • Communicates effectively with Community Based Mental Health Providers and referral sources.
  • Maintain current licenses and certificates required for the position including but not limited to First Aid, CPR, Emergency Behavior Intervention.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1 year of supervisory experience
  • Specialty training in supervision
  • Clinical experience with adolescents
  • Experience with assessment of Human Trafficking, abuse and neglect
