Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining inventories of medication and prescription records of pharmaceutical products.
  • Ensure the prescription records have accurate information and enter client information in the database.
  • Create an oral compound solution, ointments and creams as per the pharmacist's instructions.
  • Bill insurance companies or the government client for reimbursement of costs
  • Answer phone calls, emails, or internal and external customer inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Assists the pharmacist with all duties that are needed to keep the pharmacy running smoothly.
  • May assist the pharmacists with the actual prescriptions, making sure all the information about the patient is correct, and records are up to date.

Job Requirements

  • Successful completion of a two or three-year college program in pharmaceuticals.
  • CPR certification, preferred - while we accept applicants without, all employees in service of this contract require CPR certification
  • Experience working in a pharmacy.
  • Strong experience in clerical work to help with duties such as scheduling staff and ordering supplies.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of medical and dosage measurements.

Preferred

  • Bilingual in Spanish must (Read, Write, Speak) fluently.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Must have the ability to stand, sit, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, climb, bend, balance and twist for extended periods.
  • Must have the ability to lift up to 30 pounds on occasion.
  • Able to withstand changing environmental conditions with the weather (rain, lightning, and winds).
  • Must be able to safely maneuver throughout the job site (sports field, construction areas, etc).
