Position Summary
The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the UNC School of Medicine is recruiting for an Assistant Professor of Gastroenterology with an expertise in hepatology. Duties include, but are not limited to endoscopic procedures, clinic visits, and an inpatient consultation service. Candidate must have excellent communication and organizational skills. An interest in clinical research and teaching is desirable. Candidate will be active in training of GI and Hepatology fellows, residents and medical students. Candidate must be MD, Board Certified/Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
MD. Proficiency in endoscopic procedures required.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
At least three years of gastroenterology and training. Good communication and organizational skills with clinical education and/or research interest preferred.
