Primary Purpose of Position | To ensure departmental teaching lab needs are met. This position is primarily responsible for preparing all of the chemical solutions/reagents for a variety of Chemistry classes, as well as dispensing needed supplies to students and University members. |

Primary Function of Organizational Unit | The Primary purpose of the Department of Chemistry is to provide educational experiences and course work that lead to both Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Chemistry and Chemistry Education. Additionally, the department offers the bulk of the physical science electives for all students enrolled at the University, to fulfill its purposes, the Department offers a variety of courses, laboratory classes and research experiences at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Although the primary purpose is to produce B.S. and M.S. majors, the Department's efforts to provide much-needed service courses for the University's non-Chemistry majors are significant in scope. |
