Job Overview

The Rental Sales Representative is responsible for maximizing daily rental activity. This position requires the majority of time to be spent handling sales functions including telemarketing, cold calls, and customer visits. This is a Monday - Friday, first shift position.

Pay: $45,000 - $50,000/yr. (base salary - plus commission)

Shift: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Monday - Friday)

Performance Objectives

  • Responsible for achieving utilization objectives for the fleet
  • Identify potential customers, build and maintain relationships with local customer base.
  • Perform the required amount of rental marketing through direct mail, telemarketing, cold calls and customer visits.
  • Work with sales and leasing staff to coordinate product demos.
  • Assist with service/parts/sales staff to increase JX market penetration.
  • Coordinate rental contracts, certificates of insurance, and credit approvals related to the sale.
  • Identify competitive strength and weaknesses within the market and recommend solutions to improve.
  • Assist in resolution of customer disputes, problem resolution.
  • Support lease customers with interim and extra units
  • Perform additional duties as needed.



Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor (preferred) or Associate's degree in marketing, business or related field.
  • Previous experience in sales or the transportation industry.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing, over the phone, and in person.
  • Comfortable soliciting new business and meeting new people.
  • Disciplined, with good organizational and time management skills.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required, Commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred with the ability and willingness to obtain a CDL.
  • Dependable and reliable attendance required.
