Position Overview:

The Branch Manager in Manufacturing is responsible for leading all aspects of the manufacturing branch's operations, ensuring efficient production, quality control, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBITLIES include the following and all other duties assigned:

  • Oversee the manufacturing and distribution processes, production schedules, and workflow to meet production targets while maintaining quality standards.
  • Manage and lead a team of production staff, supervisors, and other personnel. Provide guidance, training, and support to maximize team performance.
  • Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure products meet or exceed established quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols, conducting regular inspections, and promoting a culture of safety compliance within the manufacturing branch.
  • Manage and maintain equipment inspection records and standard start-up operating procedures.
  • Monitor raw material supplies, and coordinate with procurement to ensure smooth production processes and avoid shortages.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency enhancement, and cost reduction. Implement strategies to improve production output and reduce waste.
  • Develop and manage budgets for manufacturing and distribution operations. Monitor expenses, analyze financial reports, and implement cost-saving measures while maintaining quality.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer service teams to meet client demands, address concerns, and maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, industrial management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Substantial experience in manufacturing operations, with managerial experience being advantageous.
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality standards, and safety protocols.
  • In-depth knowledge of Fastener Quality Standards (ASTM and FQA). (Required)
  • Lean Manufacturing process to include Six Sigma Certification (Green or Black Belt (preferred)).
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve operational challenges.
  • Proficiency in budgeting, cost control, and resource management.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the manufacturing industry.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
