INVISTA Precision Concepts is actively seeking an Operations Manager for our Martinsville, Virginia location. The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing a dedicated team of machinists and operators to meet these critical supply demands. Primary objectives will include ensuring safety, maintaining high-quality standards, and enhancing team capabilities by embodying our Principle Based Management philosophy. The successful candidate will be expected to thoroughly understand the operational processes and ensure the provision of necessary resources for the team to effectively service our clientele and facilitate business expansion. We are in search of a driven individual with a strong entrepreneurial spirit, who is eager to assume responsibility and cultivate the development of our team.

This position, being the sole management presence on-site, demands a candidate who is adaptable and capable of managing the multifaceted requirements of overseeing a small facility.


Our Team

This facility operates as a high-precision machine shop, delivering components with micron-level tolerance to various INVISTA entities globally, as well as to other Koch companies and external clients requiring precision-engineered parts. Our operation is compact, with a current team size of fewer than 20 individuals, and operates a day shift from Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

  • Provide leadership of the Precision Concepts facility including people, process, and equipment
  • Drive operational excellence: Operational Safety, Reliability, Quality, Yield and Supply Chain Management are the key areas
  • Drive continuous improvement through innovating and transformation
  • Advance culture through the application of our business philosophy Principled Based Management
  • Recruit, challenge, and develop the team
  • Possess a focused approach to achieving high levels of quality and customers satisfaction

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience leading and managing direct reports including coaching/mentoring, performance feedback, and incentives
  • Experience having ownership of a process on manufacturing area
  • This role is not eligible for Visa sponsorship

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience working with and around Close tolerance machining, EDM, Computer-controlled machining equipment, and Metal Heat Treating
