The Position

Lumos' 2024 Internship Program is offering an exciting Analyst Intern position supported by one of our Field Sales and Marketing Team - helping to connect with the communities for whom we're building the fiber network of the future.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the coordination and tracking of our field sales and marketing efforts across NC, VA, and SC.
  • Assist with building out our new address management software, SalesRabbit.
  • Identify high opportunity areas for lead capture and sales.
  • Provide reporting on early market penetration and upcoming pre-sales opportunities.
  • Partner with BI team to create customized approaches and offers for high opportunity areas.
  • Track Field Marketing Event successes and opportunities.
  • Event planning and coordination.
  • Conduct desktop research to support Market Development objectives.
  • Attend meetings with a wide variety of internal SMEs on a host of topics.
  • Create a final internship project, paper, video to be discussed.

Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Open to students who have completed their freshman year and are actively pursuing a degree at an accredited institution.
    • Duration of the program will be for 8 weeks following the end of the spring semester.
  • Core Hours: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm with flexibility available.
  • Valid Driver's License: infrequent travel to worksites or corporate offices may be necessary.
  • Key Competencies:
    • Adherence to regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
    • Professional demeanor and behavior suitable to a workplace environment.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly build familiarity with other platforms like Salesforce and SalesRabbit.
    • Strong passion for broadband and digital equity.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to keep track of multiple projects at once.
