Job Description

JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for operating assigned machinery ensuring equipment runs smoothly, works at capacity without issue and is appropriately maintained. The Operator should be able to understand production procedures, fix simple issues that may occur with equipment or processes with little guidance.

* Produce product in timely manner while following all Quality system requirements

* Ability to read and interpret blue prints.

* Capable of proficiency on all types of equipment and setup of equipment used in work cell within 60 days of hire

* Proficient in all aspects of paperwork for the area within 30 days.

* Strong verbal and written communication.

* Ability to train team members.

* Utilize Lean tools and be active particpant in Lean events and High Performance Teams.

* Participate in 5S activities per Manager request.

* Troubleshoot problems as they arise; Strong problem solving skills.

* Must be able to work and thrive in Team environment.

* Must be able to work overtime when required including weekends.

* Maintain a safe workplace for self and fellow team members via compliance of safety policies and procedures.

* Other assignments as assigned by Management.

MINIMUM REQUIRMENTS:

* Citizenship: US Citizen or Permanent Resident Alien

* Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

* Vision: 20/25 vision corrected or uncorrected

* Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in manufacturing environment

* Communication: For safety and quality, must be able to read, write & understand English

* Mechanical Aptitude: Medium

* Math skills - Basic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, converting decimals to fractions

* Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
