WORK SHIFT:

First Shift (United States of America)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Jr. Buyer is responsible for the procurement of assigned raw materials and services. The Jr. Buyer coordinates the movement of inbound goods while maintaining proper records for processing supplier scorecards and other KPI tracking.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Perform daily analysis of MRP requirements for assigned commodities.
  • Issue Purchase Orders as required to manage inventory of assigned raw materials.
  • File Purchasing historical data as required by department's operating procedures.
  • Maintain and review records of items purchased, costs, deliveries, product performance, and inventory.
  • Expedite material deliveries with suppliers which may be required to support production schedules.
  • Consult with department management to provide status of assigned projects.
  • Participate in weekly department meetings to review and report KPI's.
  • Collaborate with other individuals and departments to resolve related transactional discrepancies as needed.
  • Maintain reliable and consistent attendance, including being punctual, and dependable in order to meet the needs of the department and the organization.
  • Execute each essential duty satisfactorily in order to perform job successfully.
  • Follows all safety procedures required in work area, wears PPE as needed, attends all safety meetings, and reports safety issues regarding equipment or unsafe/hazardous conditions.
  • Performs effectively as a team member, able to work well with others, open to receive and give feedback, and treats everyone with respect.
  • Takes ownership of own work and behavior, accepts accountability for own actions, encourages solutions, and communicates status of work/projects.
  • Follow all department quality standards/criteria. Raise concerns and issues to immediate manager.
  • Able to understand and demonstrate Cambro company culture, display company core values (Safety, Quality, Respect, and Service).
  • Understands department's key performance indicators and contributes to achieve these goals both individually and as a team.
  • Other duties as needed or required.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs duties as a back-up for team members' during periods of absence, such as vacation.
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed, remain flexible and open to possible schedule changes in order to meet business needs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to fluently read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic computation, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to analyze practical problems and a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate's Degree or 1-2 years' related experience.
  • Knowledge of MRP.

COMPENSATION RANGE:

Salary may vary based on experience.
