Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit
In accordance with the mission of the University, The College of Visual and Performing Arts seeks to enable students to understand and embrace the artistic expression of all cultures, empowering them to enrich the human experience for themselves and others. Acknowledging the enduring traditions of excellence in each discipline, the College of Visual and Performing Arts, strives to:

Teach the imaginative, critical, aesthetic, and technical skills essential to the creative process, scholarly inquiry, and professional engagement in the continually evolving fields of the visual and performing arts.

Promote discovery and foster inclusive learning that enriches the understanding of human diversity and global issues as they relate to the visual and performing arts.

Provide our undergraduate students with comprehensive curricula appropriate to the various degree programs offered by the College of Visual and Performing Arts.

Equip our graduate students to become specialists and leaders in their fields through advanced study and training.

Present public performances, shows, and events, and provide artistic resources, education and outreach to the local, regional, national and international communities that enriches student learning, promotes faculty scholarship and creative activities, which enrich the lives of all citizens while showcasing the College and University.
Position Summary
In accordance with the mission of the University, the College of Visual and Performing Arts seeks to enable students to understand and embrace artistic expression, empowering them to enrich the human experience for themselves and others. The ATS provides teaching and learning support to instructors (faculty, adjuncts, TAs, and GAs) - often, but not exclusively, involving IT support to instructional activity (i.e., provide direct support to instructors in applying technical solutions to achieve teaching and learning goals). Areas of support include, but are not limited to, helping to plan, develop, implement, assess, and enhance teaching and learning strategies and materials to ensure strong pedagogy. The ATS assists instructors representing diverse racial/ethnic groups and/or marginalized individuals and supports them in promoting the academic success of students from diverse racial/ethnic groups and/or marginalized groups.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum: * Master's degree * At least two years of related work experience working as a techincal professional supporting instructional technologies or other information technology applications/systems. * Experience with a Learning Management System. * Experience with on-line course design and delivery.
Additional Required Certifications, Licensures, and Certificates
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred: * Master's degree preferred in education, instructional technology, or related field. * Terminal degree in related field * Teaching experience in a higher education setting * Current or previous Quality Matters certifications
