Your Job

The Precision Machinist will be manufacturing spinnerets and other critical components for the textile, consumer product, aerospace, and various other industries. This position will be responsible for micro machining down to a +/-1-micron tolerance in accordance with customer and site specifications with tolerances down to +/- .0001. A successful candidate must promote exemplary Environmental, Health and Safety culture by participating in weekly safety audits, collaborating on job safety analysis, and maintaining good housekeeping/order and arrangement.


This role will work a 4-10 schedule: Monday thru Thursday 7am - 5:30pm

Using a diverse assortment of traditional and state-of-the art computer-controlled machines, we fabricate custom close tolerance parts economically, while meeting the standards of quality our customer specify.


What You Will Do

  • Complete basic setup of CNC mills, lathes, wire-EDM, mills, lathes, laser and other manual equipment within an allotted time
  • Perform first piece inspections; ensuring parts are within given specification
  • Perform production operations to achieve customer delivery and quality specifications
  • Perform general maintenance on equipment
  • Continuously develop new skills and learn new processes

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Machinist Associate's degree/equivalent diploma OR 4+ years machinist experience
  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, written instructions, procedures, and specifications
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Ability to lift 50lbs (as necessary) through passing a Physical Abilities Test
  • This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship

What Will Put You Ahead

  • 5+ years of machinist experience
  • Experience programming and operating a Coordinate Measuring Machine
  • Experience working in a micro-machining environment
  • Experience creating machine programs using Mastercam software, designing fixtures and defining tooling requirements
