Job Description
Overview

Provides complex technical support to data processing systems through enhancement of related software and processes. Develops software and procedures that improve processing capabilities. Analyzes, codes, tests, and implements in coordination with management, associates, and end users. Serves as production system support by resolving issues and ensuring ongoing functionality. May oversee the work of less experienced analysts or assist in special projects as needed. Assists with refining requirements as provided by product partners. Works with Scrum team to build quarterly release requirements. Coordinates with external teams to build integrations. Performs a variety of actions that evaluate and improve department systems, processes, and applications. Utilizes programming specifications to construct modules, develop testing methods, and design materials. Provides new feature time estimates for system changes and assists in implementing modifications. Executes test plans to validate application functions as designed. Collects data related to user requests and determines scope, time estimates, and system impacts. Inspects business specifications, programming specifications, coding, test plans, documentation, and implementation plans for accuracy. Provides technical support to production systems by addressing reported issues, anticipating maintenance requirements, and ensuring functionality for end user needs. Drafts documentation to be used for system, end user, and operational purposes, including technical specifications and application designs. Responsible for complex involvement in the software development life cycle including the creation, enhancement, implementation, and evaluation of software. Serves as a technical resource for management, associates, and business units. Provides 24/7 on-call support via rotations every three (3) months. May work remotely pursuant to First Citizens' Remote Work Guidelines policy.

The base pay for this position is relative to your experience but the range is generally $151,986 - $181,986 per year. The position is eligible for variable compensation, which may be in the form of incentive, bonus, or commission pay. Qualifications

Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or other related field plus four (4) years of experience in the job offered or four (4) years as a Software Engineer, Software Programmer, or a related occupation. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, or other related field plus two (2) years of experience in the job offered or two (2) years as a Software Engineer, Software Programmer, or a related occupation. Alternatively, the employer will accept a High School Diploma/GED plus twelve (12) years of experience in the job offered or twelve (12) years as Software Engineer, Software Programmer, or a related occupation.

Position requires software application development and maintenance experience. Requires advanced experience with MS.NET, ASP.NET, SQL Scripting, Powershell Scripting, Java, Javascript, and Python. Requires advanced experience with Microsoft Team Foundation (TFS) or similar code repository system. Requires advanced experience with ServiceNow or other information technology ticketing system. Requires in-depth knowledge of the System Life Cycle Development methodology, including Waterfall and Agile. Requires experience with Jira/Confluence. Requires experience with Azure DevOps. Requires the ability to be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, on a rotating basis, every three (3) months. May work remotely pursuant to First Citizens' Remote Work Guidelines policy.
